You cannot do a Kindness too soon, for you never know how soon will be too late" Ralf Waldo Emerson That quote is pretty much how we live our lives here at what some of our friends call 'Camp Williams' Shakira is a small, family kennel devoted to our dogs. It is truly a family affair, with my husband ,sons and I, all being an integral part of raising our dogs. We strive for not just beautiful dogs but healthy, long-lived, intelligent companions! We have puppies in homes that are therapy dogs, others are working on obedience, agility & tracking !
Yes, we have different breeds. We have had Great Danes for about thirty years and Wheatens for fifteeen years. Recently I have gotten two Norwich Terriers. We have also had a bred Corgis and still own several Corgis though I am not breeding them any longer. I am not so good about placing my older dogs. I know many do and that is fine and understandable but I just can't. We have acreage and my family all know that with keeping dogs goes much responsibility. The dogs are raised in my home, my dogs are in yards not kennels, they sleep on beds not in crates. I am happy to talk to people about my dogs. As time has moved on my interests have varied, I like the variety in breeds and sizes. I love all of my dogs.
